We currently observe a significant trend of content created by users of Instagram or TikTok entering the mainstream media. The audience took note of many of our famous personalities in this way, such Osman Khalid Butt and Hania Aamir. However, our current mega stars entered the industry through VJing before social media stars took over mainstream media. Before becoming actors, actresses like Mahira Khan, Urwa Hocane, and Hina Altaf all worked as VJs; today, women are dictating the entertainment landscape. A gathering of all the original MTV Pakistan VJs was organised by producer Nina Kashif, and it included a variety of the country’s biggest talents.
Urwa Hocane, Syra Yousuf, and Momal Sheikh were also seen mixing with everyone in attendance. The Ho Mann Jahan trio of Mahira Khan, Sheheryar Munawar Siddiqui, and Adeel Hussain were also seen reunited after a long time apart.
