[Press Release]: Day 2 of TDAP kicked off with a fine dose of ethnic-mix by FnkAsia (Huma Adnan). Her collection was made up of its signature vivid palette, beaded embroidery and hand-worked craft. Huma encapsulated silks, georgettes, modern prints and stately sculptured jewelry which managed to retain the heritage and traditions and yet remained modern and trendy.

FunkAsia (532)Following this was Delpi by Nida Tapal who brought forth a fusion of their signature crochet with tailored flimsy western silhouettes. The crochet pieces were made of silk threads and hand embellishments like sequins, pearls, swarowski crystals and beaten metals.

Next up was Inaaya by Naushaba Brohi who played along the monochromed palette of black and white. She displayed a fine range of velvet and leather capes and tops. The TDAP Mix capsule collection then featured: Sadaf Malaterre’s parrot green gowns, fine embroidery by Ahan, YBQ’s trendy outfits and Zainab Chottani’s gold semi-formals.

The TDAP MIX capsule then exhibited couture pieces by Faraz Manan and Arsalan Iqbal’s floral floor-length gowns. Nida Azwar’s “Bahaar Collection” followed suit which paid homage to the vintage and classic signature look representing the Western aesthetic. Her collection had shorter hemlines, tunics, kurtas and angrakhas as well as summer jackets and shirts.

TDAP surely seemed to captivate the audiences attention with its cuts, colors and gorgeous models. We wish the TDAP team all the best for their next show. 🙂
