The PFDC Swarovski Crystal Couturiers event was held on 28th February 2015 in collaboration with Nestle Pakistan as part of fund raising for two Lahore based school girls, as part of a fashion event.
The event featured top eight designers who showcased their collections and the proceeds from the 200 plus attendees were donated to The Care Foundation who support the education of over 3000 students in various schools.
“It gives me great pleasure to redefine our partnership with Nestlé, since the relationship has gone beyond monetary arrangements. They share PFDC’s vision of playing our part in giving back to the society we live in”, said the CEO PFDC, Mr. Saad Ali, during the event having taken up responsibility for two girls’ schools, joining hands in collaboration with Nestle.
Nestle Pakistan and Engro Foods are the companies in Pakistan who seem to have joined the bandwagon and taken the initiative to contribute to the society in more than one way, particularly in the field of education. Similarly, National Foods serves as a partner for CSR projects by Aman Foundation, The Citizens Foundation, Literate Pakistan Foundation, Network of Organizations Working for People with Disabilities and SOS Pakistan – Feed the Children.
On the other hand, Unilever Foods has opened its own organization, The Unilever Foundation, in partnership with Population Services International (PSI), UNICEF, Oxfam, the World Food Programme, UNICEF and Save the Children, to provide basic necessities like nutrition, clean drinking water and sanitation to those in need.
